Bad and Good news

Short news, unfortunately i leaved Hilary Goldstein’s book GOLEM, I was able to do only issue #1 and #2 of four, in the future I’ll do the cover of the other issues and some other covers for Hilary’s projects,  but just that.
The good news is that I needed to leave it because I signed a long contract with Dynamite and I’m already working on one of its famous characters, I’ll share more info as soon as I can.

Borderlands pages test

These three Borderlands videogame pages are from a test made for IDW some months ago.
Unfortunately the videogame publisher had choose another artist, but the good thing is that as part of my portfolio they were really appreciated by DC, Dark Horse, etc. at the latest SDCC.

01/09/12 UPDATE

My usual update about the various works i’m doing in the last times:

Out now there is Hellraiser #17 from Boom! Studios drew even by me.
This book should be just a start, there could be even more in the future, of Hellraiser and of other Boom! Studios stuff.
This is the cover of the book (well, one of them) by Tim Bradstreet:

On the shelves there should be even Megalodon & Prehistoric Sharks from Discovery channel, a huge book about sharks, obviously, but prehistoric sharks!
This is a little preview of it:

I’m at half of the second story for the MANKIND book from History Channel.
The MANKIND project is a series of graphic novel with several stories created by various team, the number 0 was out at the San Diego Comic Con 2012 with my first story inside it (down below a pic of me signing it in San Diego).

The stories are from authors like Marv Wolfman, Neo Edmund, Bill Senkiewicz, Neal Adams, etc.
This second story that I’m drawing is written by Neo Edmund and it will be out in November, inside the first volume.

Golem, the 4 issue miniseries, written by Hilary Goldstein from IGN was a success on kickstarter.com, now I’m finishing to drew the first issue, it should be out in November and we are trying to have the TPB ready for the next spring.

Soon I’ll start to drew the second arc of  Yi SoonShin, issue #5 is really near to be started.
In the meantime we are working on various cover and promotional images.
The first arc was a great success at the SDCC, I’m sure this second will be even more…

Frost, the 4 issue miniseries written by Brandon Jerwa (Vampirella, Battlestar Galactica) and Eric Trautmann (Red Sonja, The Shield) is at the lettering stage (Simon Bowland from Dynamite), there are some progress about the publisher, stay tuned for more news…

The San Diego Comic Con had brings even a lot of other HUGE things, but it’s too soon to tell them, there will be the right time!

08/06/12 UPDATE

Pretty busy in the last times, I’ll try to do a unique update with most of news:

This month will be out two books with my art inside.
One will be Discovery Megalodon & Prehistoric Sharks published by Zenescope/Discovery Channel.
It will be a big book telling about the biggest and ferocious sharks of the prehistoric era.

There will be 10 double splash pages drew by me showing the big image of the shark, then there will be a short story talking about it drew by other artist.
Down below a preview of one of that sharks, the Hybodus.

The other, which is already on  the shelves, is the TPB of  Grimm Fairy Tales: The Library 5 issues miniseries, drew by me and written by Joe Brusha.
If you have missed the single issues don’t miss this trade paperback.

Right now I’m working always for a documentary channel (not Discovery as for the sharks) about a book that will be announced at the next San Diego Comic-con (by the way, I’ll be there).
It’s an amazing work and I can’t wait to see it published.

With Brandon Jerwa and Eric Trautmann we found a colorist for our creator-owned project, we are going to make him color some pages for the pitch, and then we’ll search a publisher.
By the way don’t miss their last book, Shooters from Vertigo.

Talking again about the next SDCC, as said I’ll be there for all the 4 days, promoting also Yi Soon Shin: Warrior and Defender TPB with its writer/creator Onrie Kompan.
Search us for the books, signs, and sketches!
In the meantime we are at the early stages of the next arc of our Korean hero, maybe there will be some previews about it at the SDCC.

I’m working also on some other projects but still top secret, so stay tuned!
